Big thanks to my boy Phil Müller for all the hard work on making the video. Shout out to Markus Kopitzki for lending his brain and ears throughout the production and recording process. There’s no way I could have done it like this without their help while sticking to the guiding principle: Keeping things simple and to the point. No frills. No more production than absolutely necessary. Enjoy!
I’m very excited to announce that the first single of my new solo work is almost here. “The Rain” is coming to YouTube this Sunday OCT 28, 2018. Subscribe now at https://www.youtube.com/paddyshadowmusic and be among the first to hear it.
There are 2 new live dates available for this year. First, I will be supporting Maxwell (Rapper)
at E1NS / Street Soccer Turnier in Mainz-Kastel. This will be the first show with my new solo material. UPDATE Aug 26: This event is canceled and we are playing something else instead. Learn more.
Second, Don’t Try This are giving me the opportunity to fill in the vacant lead vocalist slot during their next show again. Check us out with Kambrium and my old love Black Tooth Scares at “Heavy Hell’o’Ween” in Erfurt’s Club From Hell.
More details on the Live page. Can’t wait!
I have recently had the pleasure of helping my buddies in Don’t Try This as one of the guest vocalists during their Dessau AllStars 2018 show. Certainly my biggest show as a lead vocalist so far. First one in 8 years, and only the second ever without being able to hide behind any instrument. All of us had a ton of fun. Check out their video blog from the day below.
How we doin’ folks? Quick update in between: Having canceled my early “musical retirement” since late 2016 has been great. The things I have been able to learn, do and experience have been quite a journey. It shows that it’s never too late to start over again.
With the beginning of this year, I have decided to step down from my ongoing commitments and go independent. Am I retired again? Heck no! Quite the opposite: I’m currently experimenting a lot and trying many new things to see what I would really like to do on the path forward. Basically re-discovering my relationship with music as a whole. Different genres, different instruments, different roles around the big show. I really want to take time to enjoy this process, but going forward I will start sharing more about it again. So stay tuned for updates!
Oh, and I have Instagram now. Follow me for the occasional small insight. Of course I have random food pics, too 😉
